Resurrection campaigns tempt teams to celebrate early opens. Opens are fragile signals. Pair them with conservative downstream metrics: reactivation of a core behavior, return of payment success, or re-engagement with support in a healthy channel. Document what you expect to move and on what timeline.
If leadership wants a single headline number, agree upfront that it will be a range with confidence language. "We expect a modest lift among dormant cohort A, measured after fourteen days" is more honest than a precise percentage invented before send.
